These models benefit from significant improvements, including more powerful cameras, optimized flight capabilities and new accessories designed to meet the expectations of the most demanding users. But what are these drones really worth? What do they have in common, and what are their differences? And above all, which one best suits your needs? PROMAX<\/strong>, ZeroZero Robotics evolves its compact, autonomous drone concept by improving <strong>image quality<\/strong> and <strong>tracking speed<\/strong>, while adding <strong>obstacle detection<\/strong> and new <strong>control possibilities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both models retain the <strong>folding design<\/strong> and <strong>protected propellers<\/strong>, while incorporating <strong>new tracking options<\/strong>, <strong>improved autonomy<\/strong>, and a <strong>range of accessories<\/strong> to extend their capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_changes_with_these_new_versions\"><\/span>What changes with these new versions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Better image quality<\/strong>: the PROMAX features a larger sensor and a 48 MP photo option, while the PRO remains at 12 MP. On the video side, the PRO goes up to 4K 60 fps, while the PROMAX offers 8K 30 fps and 4K 120 fps. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Double the storage capacity of the PROMAX<\/strong>: like the HOVERAir X1, the PRO features 32 GB of internal memory, while the PROMAX increases this capacity to 64 GB. An appreciable difference for those who film in high resolution. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Added obstacle detection<\/strong>: unlike the original HOVERAir X1, PRO &amp; PROMAX now feature rear obstacle detection, useful in tracking mode. The PROMAX version also benefits from vision sensors, which complement the PRO&#8217;s proximity sensors and improve obstacle avoidance. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>More reliable autonomy<\/strong>: in real-life conditions, 11 to 13 minutes of flight time, compared with 8 to 10 minutes on the previous model. They feature an ultra-compact folding format, with <strong>propellers fully protected <\/strong>by plastic grids &#8211; an approach that offers both safety and robustness in the event of impact. ZeroZero Robotics has nevertheless refined the concept by adding bevelled corners to the grilles, giving them a slightly modernized look.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The dimensions of the two models are identical: <strong>105 x 149 x 34 mm<\/strong> when folded, and <strong>173 x 149 x 39 mm <\/strong>when unfolded. In terms of weight, they differ by just one gram<strong>(191.5 g <\/strong>for the PRO, <strong>192.5 g<\/strong> for the PROMAX), due to the PROMAX&#8217;s larger camera. Thanks to their weight of less than 250 g, these drones benefit from <strong>simplified regulations<\/strong> in many countries, a considerable advantage for recreational flyers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interface remains minimalist and intuitive, with a <strong>central button <\/strong>surrounded by a<strong> directional wheel<\/strong> and a <strong>small screen<\/strong> displaying essential information such as the selected flight mode and battery level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The major <strong>differences<\/strong> between the two models lie elsewhere: the PROMAX features a <strong>larger camera<\/strong>, which promises better video performance (we&#8217;ll come back to this in the section dedicated to images), and it offers <strong>64 GB <\/strong>of internal storage, compared with <strong>32 GB <\/strong>for the PRO. It also plays a key role as a <strong>GPS beacon<\/strong>, improving tracking <strong>accuracy<\/strong>and increasing the drone&#8217;s range by up to 1 km. What&#8217;s more, its <strong>built-in microphone<\/strong> records the user&#8217;s voice while reducing propeller noise, a great asset for vlogging and content creation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To maximize its use, ZeroZero Robotics offers complementary accessories such as a magnetic clip for attaching it to clothing, and a<strong> handlebar mount<\/strong> for attaching it to a bike or motorcycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PowerCase: a case that extends battery life<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another clever addition is the <strong>PowerCase<\/strong>, a protective cover and portable battery in one. It <strong>recharges <\/strong>the HOVERAir X1 PRO or PROMAX<strong> approx. 2.5 times<\/strong>, giving greater autonomy without the need to carry several batteries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In terms of design, it features a transparent window that lets you monitor the drone&#8217;s screen without having to open it, and an integrated strap for easy transport. Essential settings, such as flight height and distance, can be configured beforehand. Once activated, the drone takes off from the palm of your hand and returns there automatically at the end of the flight. Even in more complex environments such as a forest, the drone manages to follow its subject without difficulty. This only works at the rear of the drone, meaning that it is only active when the drone is reversing in Dolly Track mode. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, there is an important <strong>difference <\/strong>between the two models:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>PRO<\/strong> is equipped only with <strong>proximity sensors<\/strong>, which are not very effective in practice. According to several reports, the PRO\u2019s proximity sensors remain limited: they are not always sufficient to avoid branches and seem mainly effective at very low speeds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>PROMAX<\/strong>, on the other hand, also incorporates <strong>vision-based sensors<\/strong>, offering far better obstacle recognition. Offering 8K without the possibility of a format optimized for editing is a truly astonishing contrast.
