The PICO 4, launched on October 18, 2022 by ByteDance, is an innovative virtual reality headset, primarily targeting VR gaming enthusiasts and positioning itself as a direct competitor to the Meta Quest 2. It is distinguished by its use of pancake lenses coupled with high-resolution LCD screens (2160 x 2160 per eye) at 90 Hz, offering an enhanced visual experience while reducing the weight of the headset. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chip, has 8GB of LPDDR4 memory and runs on the Pico operating system, based on Android 10, with a 0.59 GHz Adreno 650 graphics card.
